Victorian hair style-Estelle and Miss Havisham

For Estella and Miss Havisham I chose very similar look Late Victorian hair style 1860- 1890, which I really like, very rich decoration on the hair, some modern staff like fake hair, pearls, feathers or pins and absolutely beautiful curls.

For Miss Havisham I choose  late Victorian from those two pictures. Lovely curls loosely fall down on both sides of the face, from back small pony tail, which later on made it some curls and pined upwards to scalp, create like a fish tail

My work

1. I divide a hair onto three section, small on the sides and one in the middle of hair at the back of hair. From last one I made a small pony tail, taking small pieces I curled them a pined onto the scalp

2. Also I did the same from the sides and around an ears, I took small pieces and curled them , then I pined create a fish tail.

3. Last think, hair on the  both sides I only curled the edges, to simplicity to pined them- before I folded them outside and curled edges pined to the scalp like on the picture.

4. At the end I used a baptist dry shampoo to give them old look- grey, that's my final look.

My first hair style for Miss Havisham, first I divided hair into three section , two on the side  and one small at the back of the head, which later I have done a small pony tail. From pony tail I pick it up a small pieces of hair curled them, and pined upwards to the scalp, formulated a fish tail from curled hair. Afterwards I used a Baptista dry shampoo to achieved grey hair.

My second choose- Miss Havisham look

1. First divide a hair onto three section- small on both sides, one in the middle of hair at the back, which after I made a small pony tail

2. Taking a small pieces from pony tail I curled them and pined upwards to the scalp. The same I did with hair around a pony tail, and pined under a pony tail create a fish tail.

3. Hair from the sides divided into three section an curled upwards to a face.I left loosely fall. That is my final look on my model

My second attempt to create that look for Miss Havisham was similar, but definitely here you can see properly fishtail from beautiful curls. From the beginning was a little difficult to curl them, because of Vicky's long, thick and very straight hair, I really struggled to curl them. What I did change was just smaller pony tail which I curled and pined to the scalp, the same I did with hair from both sides and pinned into a fishtail, loosely fall down at back of the head.

For my Estella look I chose similar hair style

From those pictures I created it hair style for Estella. This is late Victorian hairstyle, wasn't difficult to create something lovely, girl y and beautiful for very young girl like Estella to defined hair gracefulness

My work

1. First I separated a hair into 3 section, two on the sides, one in the middle at the back- from lats one I made a pony tail.

2. Then I took small pieces from pony tail and curled them, pined  into a scalp- upwards to scalp

3. Also curled hair on the side a pined them into a fish tail. My Kate head has a short hair and practise curling its not enough for me.

4. I also curled hair on the both sides, before I sectioned them into three line, I curled them upwards to the face.

5.After all I added some hair decorations like pins, pearls.

Estella look
1. This is my hair style for Estella look. I separated a hair into three section , small on the both side on the face , one small at back in the middle of hair.

2. From a pony tail I took small pieces and some of them curled and pined upwards to the scalp, from some pieces I made a braid and also pined to scalp.
3. I left some small pieces of hair at the bottom of hair and curled them into three section, I left them loosely fall at the back. From both sides I curled only edges to easily pined upwards to pony tail.

4.For decorations I used a ribbon on the forehead and pined edges to the pony tail.

From few pictures I created one style for Estella, which at the end I change a bit. I made a pony tail at the back of head and some pieces of hair curled and some of them made a braids and pined them into the scalp, some hair I left loosely falling down . Definitely I must work on it to achieved

Cuts, scratches, bruises and the perfect black eye

With Sue we learnt and practise how to create it a cuts, scratches, bruises and black eye. After her demo we worked in pair.

When creating cuts, scratches, bruises and black eye, there are a few points that you need to consider:

  • How was it done?
  • If black eye, what was the person got hit or punch?
  • What size and shape is it?
  • How old is it?

Products which I used:

  • small brushes
  • supra colour palette from Kryolan
  • foundation palette
  • camouflage palette
  • sponges black and white
  • Gel foam from Kryolan
  • artificial blood from Kryolan
  • wound filler Kryolan
  • Old Age stipple Kryolan
  • tuplast Kryolan
  • Collodion Kryolan
  • fine-wax Kryolan
  • latex liquid Kryolan
  • stick-wax Kryolan
From those product you can create scratches, bruises, old skin, broken veins, black eyes.

My work- cut

1.I created from fine wax Kryolan , made some roll on and stick to the skin, I blended it very well edges, after that I start colouring using a wound filler, supra colour palette and artificial blood.

Scratches
1.Using a small flat brush-  for me the best one is angled brush, I created small scratches using a supra colour palette or wound filler.

Old cuts and bruises

1.Using a Collodiun I kept folding skin and used dryer to dry out. After that was created a beautiful cut- looks like old one, next from Kryolan and supra colour palette, wound filler I made a bruises and old cuts, coloured them with red, some blue colours.

Perfect Black Eye

1.Using a small, soft brush  a supra colour palette, some wound filler I created a black eye- bruises, using some, yellow, blue, red and purple colour.I started from red, then put e purple and blend it, after a smudge yellow a lit of bit.

Old Age skin

1. Using a old age stipple and dryer I created a wrinkled skin, I applied few layers, each one I dried. Before applied a layers a very well stretch a skin.

Evaluation

Well, to create some old cuts using a collodiun was very easy, the same with scratches, however create a bruises was definitely step up more difficult, the hardest think was make a old skin, with few layers and dryer to create them, the hardest think for me to create a cuts from fine-wax, but after a practising few times definitely getting better.

2. From sides I curled them onto three section inward to face. From last section I did a plait on both sides and pined them to the bun.

3. From sides I made a two section them I curled hair and live them  loosely fall, from third section I made a loosely braid and edges pined to the bun.

Product which I used;
  • Curly wand Babylis 25mm
  • pins
  • grips
  • fishtail com
  • Deman brush
  • band
Evalution

Early Victorian hairstyle was the easiest hairstyle, which I ever had done. I haven't wash my Kate hair so it was difficult to make a bun from pony tail. From hair on the sides I made three section, two of them I curled and left loosely fall and from last I made a braid and edges pined to bun.
