Contemporary Victorian Hair styles, inspired by American horror

With Lot tie after her demo we recreated American Horror hairstyle, From Victorian Gothic. Like you can see on the picture, we tried to make roll-on which we pined.

Coiffure de mariage / wedding hair style #hair #beauty peinados de novia

My Work

1.First, I used a curly wand to make a curls on all of the head, first section above an forehead I made a three curlers.

2.Then like a brick I made another curls, inwards to face and outside a face, to create different looks.
To keep them properly curled a pined every curlers to avoid damage. After when I finished I removed every single pins, before I brushed them. I used a Denman brush to combed hair, preserving curls- keep it curls in hand I brush once under and below curls, only I left on the top some curls, for do it last one.

3. From sides I just made loosely upwards and backwards pined them, created some lovely waves.

3.Started from the bottom of the head, created a roll-on and using a grips pined them, from both side I combed them on the , last to avoid damage curls, I created small , lovely upwards curls and pined them to scalp, I did on the both sides.

Products which I used:

  • Babylis curly wand 25mm
  • Denman brush
  • fishtail comb
  • grips
  • pins

Evaluation

Definitely to created that look, was an easy from the beginning to create a curls on the whole head and combed them. To create a hair style from American Horror wasn't that easy, I struggled with roll-on them properly . To create another look from already curls, was definitely much easier , because a hair very easily formed, I definitely love the look - second one, which was perfectly formed. That is the second look from Kate hair.

1. After when I created American hair style, I just brush a hair and using a Denman brush and my fingers I created my free style imaginations- looking like a 20's

2. Hair beautifully curled by them self , making a beautiful roll on, even I didn't have to use a pins. After when you curled whole head absolutely lift up hair

3.The think is that when you gonna curled hair you have to think what kind of hair style you doing, then after you must choose upwards to face or backwards curl a hair

4. I love it when hair beautifully creating waves by them self, after all you can do it what ever you want it.

Dark eyes and lips.

This is a sample picture of black yes and dark lips

The first thing that you have to remember is that Goth subculture it is all about creativity and expression. Therefore are not many rules, and you can change and improve. Another thing to note is the Goth style you wish to emulate, depending on the style chosen, the colours or designs you chose may vary. Both men and women wear Gothic make-up, though when it comes to men make-up is more subtle than what women customarily sport.

It is important to cleanse, tone and moisturise the skin before applying any make-up.Very pale or dark skin is best left as it is, with just a light dusting of powder over the moisturiser. If you have tan or dark coloured skin apply a coat of cream foundation, then dust with powder for a matte finish. Goth rarely use blush and bronzer, but they can be apply minimally if you chose.

Eye make-up is the most important of all Goth make-up. Dark and smoky cat eyes are much favoured by Goth. Black liquid eye-liner and mascara is used to add to contour to the eyes. Eye shadows of different colours are used, black , grey, silvery grey, white , blue , green, emerald green, purple, indigo, deep reds, yellow, etc. A mixture of two different colours can be used.
You can also make your eyes more stand out and look more dramatic by adding design drawn first in eye pencil then in liquid eye-liner . You can use different colours in your design and be as creative as you like.  Rhinestones and glitter can also be used, fake lashes can be used to accentuate your Goth look. Eyebrows should be darkened and the arch well defined.

When is comes to lipstick and lip liners colours, purple, indigo, black, deep plum, etc are used. A base coat of lip liner is applied to make a lipstick stay on longer. Piercing may also be used . Make sure your Goth make-up matches with your nail polish/ art and apparel.

My work

Products which I used:

  • Illamasqua matte primer
  • Kryolan foundation palette
  • black pencil
  • Illamasqua eyeshadows
  • Illamasqua translucent powder
  • baby buds
  • Mac lip base gloss
  • selection make up brushes
  • eyelashes curler
  • black mascar
  • Kryolan eyeshadow palette
  • Revlon red lipstick
  • Kryolan lip gloss palette

1. Before apply foundation , I already prepared skin with cleanse, tone and moisturise, after I applied a matte primer onto whole face. I chose a light foundation because Goth make has a pale looking skin, and powdered with translucent Illamasqua powder.

2. Then a base I used a brown eye shadow, applied onto eyelid and under eye, to make more intensive look , I applied a black out of corner eyes, under eyes, to define a look I used a black pencil, around eye and in water line.

3. Curled an eyelashes and used a black mascara. Using a black pen I defined a lip liner , then filled with red lipstick., I just added a lit of bit red colour because I wannabe kept them very dark. I clean the mess around eyes and lips by using a foundation colour. That's my final Goth look.

Evaluation

I look so scary, definitely it is not my look, I never will wear this type of make-up. It is not easy also apply and make a Goth make-up. I like a deep version black smoky eyes, but definitely without dark lips.

Creating light scaring, using moulds ,how to attach to the skin, how to colour

Moulds-  we created from ready made silicon, attached to the skin by using a hazel water, blending very well edges, this how suppose to look real one, I will try recreated something on the hands
By using a mould, it is especially useful for continuity work as you can use the same mould and create the shape each time. To make a scar from mould, first you will need to spray the petroelase release spray onto  the mould. Then, use the silicone (you can mix some colour pigment onto the silicone so to make it matches the skin tone and pour it into the mould and wait for it to dry. After that, remove it from the mould carefully.

Products which I used:

  • ready silicon made it molds
  • translucent powder
  • hazel water
  • small brushes
  • cotton buds
  • supra colour palette
  • wound filler
  • artificial blood

My work

1.First apply the pros-aide onto the skin and also on the scar mould with a baby bud
2.Then, after the pros-aide gets tacky and clear, stick the mould and use your hands to press it onto the skin.
3.After that, use the witch hazel and rub it onto the edges of the mould with a baby bud in backwards and forwards motion in order to smoother and blend out the edges.
4. Apply loose powder onto the mould to reduce shine
5.Use a foundation colour which is suitable and matches your model's skin tone
6.Use the red colours from the supra colour palette and apply it into the mould to create blood effects.
7.Apply the wound filler onto the middle of the mould.
8.After that, apply some blood onto and around the mould to create bleeding effects and make the scar more realistic

Evaluation

To compare Vicki's work my was a lot of different, her's look real one my like burns something, we used a ready made from silicon, to blend  well edges we used a with hazel- that part was so difficult, the edges doesn't wannabe blended, was so hard to do that. After all we use a wound filler, supra colour palette and artificial blood to give them  looks real. Practising, practising and one more time practising to get nice skills to do it.

Creating Estelle image

From the beginning Estella was the easiest created look for, because of her twenties, she look natural, beautiful, graceful. Using my model Vicky, I created it mid- late Victorian hair style and lovely fresh make up to defined her gracefulness.

Step by step Guide

My work

1. This is my hair style for Estella look. I separated a hair into three section , small on the both side on the face , one small at back in the middle of hair.

2. From a pony tail I took small pieces and some of them curled and pined upwards to the scalp, from some pieces I made a braid and also pined to scalp.

3.I left some small pieces of hair at the bottom of hair and curled them into three section, I left them loosely fall at the back. From both sides I curled only edges to easily pined upwards to pony tail. For decorations I used a ribbon on the forehead and pined edges to the pony tail

Evaluation

On the pictures like you can see I created a Estella hair, added some ribbon and pearls. That was from my first think, but I changed a bit after consultation with Helen, I divide hair into three section, small on the sides and one big at the back of head, which later a created a pony tail. Pony tail- some hair I curled and upwards pined them to the scalp and some made a plaits and also pined them. Small amount of hair I left below a pony tail, which I curled into three section, added some ribbon and pearls at the end. Hair from the side I curled and I left loosely dropping.

My final look of Estella

1..First I separated a hair into 3 section, two on the sides, one in the middle at the back- from lats one I made a pony tail. Then I took small pieces from pony tail and curled them, pined  into a scalp- upwards to scalp

2. Also curled hair on the side a pined them into a fish tail. My Kate head has a short hair and practise curling its not enough for me.

3. I also curled hair on the both sides, before I sectioned them into three line, I curled them upwards to the face.

4..After all I added some hair decorations like pins.

Evaluation

Definitely informal time assessment went quiet well, I started from hair, What I changed, I just added more curls on the pony tail and hair from both sides, the edges I curled and pined them to the pony tail, so that was a late  Victorian hairstyle. My make-up looked fresh, because of Estella freshness and beauty. I applied a natural skin foundation on the Vicky face, neck and ears.after I applied a translucent powder from Illamasqua, I defined a cheeks with Illamasqua duo sculpting powder and just added some natural peach blush on the cheeks. On the eyelid I put a natural colour from Viva palette Kryolan, to give them freshness-and sparkle eyes and just a little bit defined a soaked line with some peach colour. I brushed a eyebrows, using a brow kit from Gosh I defined a brows with some brown mixed with black. On the eyelashes applied a little bit of mascara, to give them natural look, for an lips I used a shine balm Mac before I put any lip gloss, mixed two colours from lips Kryolan palette LC001+LC004 I achieved lovely strawberry lips. I am really happy for my Estella look- definitely could be better.
